Can I handle the ecu remapping myself?
In most cases, installing GAN modules is designed for DIY enthusiasts and takes no more than 15 minutes. You don’t need any special skills or expertise to perform this car remap. Installation videos are available on our website to guide you through the process. That said, for some turbocharged vehicles, the remapping might take a bit longer due to trickier sensor access.
Will the load on my car increase after chip tuning?
A more powerful engine from ecu remapping naturally puts extra strain on components like the transmission and chassis. However, engine and transmission designs typically include a 2x to 4x safety margin beyond their calculated limits. Plus, GAN’s chip tuning only boosts power when it’s needed—like during sharp acceleration or overtaking—so there’s no risk of sustained overload. Often, the power increase happens in the mid-range, without pushing beyond the engine’s maximum output. Modern engines come with safety systems that monitor critical conditions and dial back power to prevent damage. GAN modules don’t interfere with these safeguards, so your engine stays protected during remapping. When used correctly, GAN’s ecu remap won’t shorten your engine’s lifespan and can even enhance fuel efficiency under the right conditions.
Is there a guarantee my engine won’t fail after remapping?
Absolutely. We offer an additional engine warranty of up to 2 years, with coverage up to 5,000 EUR (terms and amounts vary by device type). To activate it, simply submit an application on our website after purchasing your GAN module. Once approved, you’ll receive a certificate confirming your peace of mind with your car remap.
